Ian Warford - Chief Executive Officer
Ian Warford joined Navarik in 2016 as Chief Executive Officer and has over 25 years of capital markets and software industry experience. His capital markets expertise is derived from a wide range of roles at UBS, Dresdner Kleinwort Benson and Deutsche Bank. These roles included Head of IT for Northern Europe at UBS, Global Head of e-commerce for FX Equities, Fixed Income and Exchange Traded Derivative Products at Dresdner and Head of Structured Products for Transaction Banking (Financial Institutions) division of Deutsche Bank.
His software roles include CEO of activAeon, Head of Products at mPorium Group PLC, Head of Capital Markets for Microsoft, Head of Financial Services at Sybase and Head of Financial Services at webMethods.
Ian holds B.Eng (Hons) and PhD degrees in Electrical Engineering.
Richard Halldearn - Chief Technology Officer
Richard Halldearn joined Navarik in 2017 as Chief Technology Officer. Richard has extensive experience building, designing and architecting enterprise systems for tier one banks. Some of his notable achievements include replacing the client side infrastructure for one of the world’s largest FX trading platforms to parallelize product development, implementing two bank wide regulatory risk reporting systems and building a new interest rate trading platform for one of the large investment banks.
Richard has experience with large big data systems including web scale analytics and machine learning. He has been involved in building low latency messaging systems and has hands on client side experience with both web and fat clients.
He was a Cross Functional Architect at Credit Suisse and Vice President at Deutsche Bank. His experience also includes working for Morgan Stanley’s Rates trading desk, GlaxoSmithKline’s SAP project, Project Leader at TWI and some time spent at BP testing crude oil.
Richard has an MSc in Computer Science from Imperial College London and a BSc in Materials Science and Engineering.
Emma Hill - Chief Operating Officer
Emma Hill joined Navarik in 2017 and is responsible for the development and commercialisation of Tradeflow and Operational data products. Emma leads Navarik's R&D centre, Navarik Labs, which is dedicated to market and customer centric product development.
Emma has 20 years experience in the commercialisation and delivery of data driven products and business transformation services to the Financial Services, Energy and Retail Industries. She spent nine years at IBM as Client Executive and Global Consulting Associate Partner. Her client engagements included the Global Data Management Programme at UBS, IT strategy and analytics projects at BP, Procurement/Vendor Rationalisation and IT business transformation programmes at Deutsche Bank.
Prior to joining IBM Emma worked in the legal industry implementing global business transformation programmes including the first implementation of SAP into a Magic Circle law firm.
Emma has a BA in History from University of Birmingham, UK.
Shawna Kuehl - Head of Energy Analytics
Shawna Kuehl is responsible for Navarik's product research and development strategy with a focus on linking oil market fundamentals with Navarik's proprietary dataset.
Shawna has a Masters in Economics at Simon Fraser University and a Bachelor of Science and Arts from Memorial University of Newfoundland.
William Cyr - Chief Financial Officer
William Cyr, CPA, CA is Navarik's Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for the strategic and financial direction of
Prior to joining Navarik he worked as VP Finance, CFO and Vice-President Operations for Kelsan Technologies. William also spent four years as Vice-President Finance of Xantrex Technology Inc., one of the world's leading manufacturers of power conversion equipment, where he managed the financial affairs of the company, including raising equity capital, financial planning and reporting. He also served as CFO of Knowledge Junction Systems Inc., a startup company developing guided selling software.
William has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of British Columbia and earned a Chartered Accountant designation, where he placed in the top 10% in Canada while working at Pricewaterhouse Coopers (PwC).
